Marketing & Advertising
WTV Live - 2019 -2022

In order to find the funds needed to enhance WTV Live and Westside Journalism as a whole, advertising was needed. Throughout the summer of 2020 and 2021, I worked on outlining an advertising plan to encourage both Westside and non-Westside businesses to show off their companies on our platform. In 2020, selling entirely by myself, I sold just under $7,000 in advertising and sponsorships for the Fall, Winter, and Spring Seasons. In 2021, WTV Live and Westside's Marketing Department Combined for a project and sold $7,220 of advertising money. I laid out an entire presentation, pamphlet, sell sheet, and sale rundowns for the prospective salesmen. A portion of this money sold went to the marketing department to help them with their later projects. The rest came to the journalism department to use primarily on WTV Live equipment upgrade as well as other ventures. Along with WTV Live, I sold over $2,000 in advertisements for the Corn Belt League Broadcasts in the summer of 2022, all of which went back into the enhancement of our broadcasts.

Promotions 66

I worked with newly formed "Promotions 66" as well as Westside Student Section's "Red Shield" to both promote and broadcast many of the halftime show events during football and basketball games. These connections would also help many other Westside events going on throughout the year.

Dunkin Trivia Question

Since the fall season of 2020, I partnered WTV Live with national chain Dunkin Donuts to be the broadcast's "Dunkin Trivia Question of the Game." At a certain point in each event, usually halftime, I would announce the question. By answering correctly on twitter with #dunkintrivia or replying with the correct answer on Westside Wired's twitter page, the participant would receive a $10 gift card to Dunkin Donuts. This has been going on for every single home athletic event the past two years and has brought engagement not just to the broadcasts, but also the social media pages.

Time 42 Coaching

I worked with Time42 Coaching on a "Player of the Game" Sponsorship for the 2020 and 2021 Fall Sports Seasons. For football in specific, the "Time42 Coaching Player of the Game" would receive a specialized commemorative football that I designed and printed by a WTV Live fellow partner in Fast Signs. This was a weekly tradition for both home and away games that grew pride within the two-time state runner up and 2020 State Champion Westside football team. Corn Belt League

In working as the head of broadcast operations for the Corn Belt League, along with my main duties, I sold advertising space throughout both our live broadcasts and weekly podcasts but also in regards to league events and sponsorship deals. In total, I raised just under $3000 throughout the summer. This money went to bettering equipment and used for basic finances which allowed us to do more games.
